“I Won’t Give Up” by Jason Mraz

It amazes me how some songs find you and know exactly what you want to say and how you feel:

I don’t wanna be someone who walks away so easily
I’m here to stay and make the difference that I can make
Our differences they do a lot to teach us how to use
The tools and gifts we got yeah, we got a lot at stake
And in the end, you’re still my friend at least we did intend
For us to work we didn’t break, we didn’t burn
We had to learn how to bend without the world caving in
I had to learn what I’ve got, and what I’m not
And who I am

I won’t give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I’m giving you all my love
I’m still looking up
Still looking up.

Feist at the Warfield last night was absolutely amazing. Some days work out perfectly. Got tickets 2 hours before the show and was literally touching the stage. She never ceases to amaze me with her impeccable performance and her guest performers were just as great too. (Picture from my mobile right from the stage).

“Nightminds” by Missy Higgins

Beautiful song full of heart and hope. You can do it. I know you can. Some days are tough, some weeks are tough, some months are tough, and sometimes some years are tough, but I believe there is never a struggle that you can’t overcome.

Dedicated to someone special and anyone else having a hard time. There is hope. Togethter we will rise.

But I will learn to breathe this ugliness you see
So we can both be there
And we can both share the dark
And in our honesty, together we will rise
Out of our nightminds
And into the light at the end of the fight

“The Keeper” by Chris Cornell

I can’t stop listening to this song from Machine Gun Preacher. I think this song sums up the movie perfectly and like I mentioned before, you should go see the film when it releases.

And before I let one more fire go out
Understand that I won’t give one inch of ground
From underneath your’s and my feet
Whatever the price happens to be

I may not be The Keeper of the flame
But I am The Keeper

A glimpse at “Metals” by Feist

I am a huge Feist fan and this makes me so excited for the new album. I can’t wait!

“Wings” by Macklemore (Directed by Zia Mohajerjasbi)

This music video is so amazing and hits a very tender part of my Sneaker Head heart. The beat, the jordans, and the cinematography are perfect. Every detail was well thought out especially the raindrops, shoes, and lighting. I think it encompasses the sneaker head culture very well and the way I feel about my sneaker head ways looking back now. Big props to Macklemore and the director on this.

These Nikes help me define me, but I’m trying to take mine, off.

Nujabes Documentary: An Eternal Soul Trailer

Very excited for this and hope it releases sooner than later. A legend and so sad and hard to believe he is gone…

“Excuses (Yours Truly Session)” by The Morning Benders

Have been watching and listening to this song on repeat since my sister linked me to it. I thought I would share the magic. Berkeley natives too!
